Bhubaneswar, July 8 (LocalWire): The Odisha government is now reviewing the new direction issued by the Union government to conduct final semester examinations for the UG and PG students amid Coronavirus pandemic.
The State Higher Education Department said that it has been analysing the new directions and a call into this direction would be taken by assessing local conditions.
Ashok Das, Vice Chairman of Odisha State Higher Education Council (OSHEC) in an interview to a local newspaper said that the final decision would be taken after review of the situation.
“We will take a final call on conducting the final semesters exams for UG and PG courses only after reviewing the whole situation,” he said.
The Centre has now allowed offline/online examinations of the final semester students as per standard protocol of the health ministry.
The state government earlier had cancelled the final semester examinations and ordered the average of marks previously secured to be taken to bring results on time.
