Bhubneswar, July 2 (LocalWire): The State government today said that it has recorded 229 new cases of Coronavirus in the latest round of sample testing.
The State Information and Public Relations department today said that out of the 229 cases detected, 95 were from Ganjam district alone.
It was followed by Balasore which saw 24 cases. A total of 19 districts reported the new cases.
According to the State government out of the 229 new cases, 193 were reported from quarantine centres while 36 cases were from local population.
The latest statistics claimed that the state has now a total of 7545 total reported cases.
It has now 2157 active cases and 5353 cases of recoveries.
The state has meanwhile done a total of 274672 sample testing till now.
