Bhubaneswar, June 24 (LocalWire): The State government today said that it has seen a total of 282 new cases of Coronavirus in the latest round of sample testing.
According to the State Health Department, out of the 282 new cases detected, 256 of them are from quarantine while 26 of them are from the local population.
The highest number of cases were reported from Gajapati district which reported a total of 76 new cases while it was followed by Ganjam which saw 75 new cases.
A total of eight NDRF personnel who returned from West Bengal on Amphan duty also tested positive for the disease.
The latest statistics claim that the state has now a total of 1740 active cases and a total of 3988 cases.
The state has meanwhile conducted a total of 235627 sample testing.
