Bhubaneswar, Sept 10 (LocalWire): The state government today said that it has seen rise of record 3991 new cases of Coronavirus from across the state.
According to the data furnished by the Information and Public Relations Department, while Khurda and Cuttack continued to report the maximum cases, Puri district saw a sudden spurt in cases.
Puri district alone today reported a total of 332 new cases of the pandemic.
Among the new cases detected, 2315 cases are from quarantine and 1676 cases are from local contacts.
The highest of 687 cases are from Khurda district while a total of 392 cases were reported from Cuttack.
Other districts which reported higher cases included-Bolangir (180 cases), Bargarh (169) and Jajpur (148).
The government claims that it has till now conducted a total of 22.73 lakh tests of the pandemic.
It also said that the state has now a total of 33,182 active cases while it has also seen recoveries of 1,05,295 patients.
