Bhubaneswar, April 9 (Local Wire): The state government on Thursday said that it has tested a total of 2841 samples from suspected COVID patients and the total cases in the state stood at 44.
Subroto Bagchi, Chief Spokesperson of the government (COVID management) said, “Till Thursday noon a total of 2841 samples were tested in the state.
The total COVID positive cases in the state stood at 44. A total of 106 persons are in hospital isolation,”
The official also that a total of 14 containment zones across the state are now declared in the state keeping in mind the threat from COVID 19.
The state which reported 42 COVID cases till Wednesday added two new cases on Thursday.
Bagchi said that in the spree of new COVID special hospitals, Gajapati district started a COVID special hospital from Thursday.
With the operationalisation of a COVID hospital in Gajapati the total operational such hospitals stood at eight.
