Bhubaneswar, June 17 (LocalWire): Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced that the state will have Coronavirus Care Home facilities in all the panchayats of Odisha to boost the treatment of the global pandemic.
Hinting at the decentralization of the treatment across the state, the CM said that people with mild symptoms of flu could be shifted to the centres and those turning positive could later be shifted to the COVID Hospitals.
“The government has decided to build Coronavirus Care Home facilities in all 6798 panchayats across the state.
We can accommodate 10-20 people in each such care system. Close to 70,000 citizens could be accommodated in the centres in rural areas,” he said.
The CM claimed that the state is now home to several Coronavirus Hospitals which offer close to 10,000 beds.
The CM said that the state has adequate drugs, trained manpower, medical staff and infrastructure to deal with the viral disease.
