Bhubaneswar, June 11 (LocalWire): The department of higher education is set to start coaching classes for Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination candidates.
The decision was taken to improve the success rate from the state which has reportedly declined over the years.
The coaching classes for civil service examinees will begin from 24 June here and in the first year, hundred students will be admitted for the same, officials said.
‘Those who cannot afford expensive civil service coaching outside the state can avail it here,’ said Parthasarthi Mishra, additional Secretary, higher education department.
The students whose parents’ annual income is more than Rs 2 lakhs will have to pay 25 percent of the fee whereas for those whose household income is under Rs 2 lakhs, coaching will be imparted free of cost.
