Bhubaneswar, Jan 21 (LocalWire) The state will introduce spoken English in government schools so that students do not miss out the opportunity.
Education Minister Sameer Ranjan Dash on Tuesday said spoken English will be taught from class one and will be a part of course curriculum from the next academic session.
Despite having talents the students studying in government schools miss out several opportunities as they struggle to communicate in English, he said.
Spoken English is much needed along with primary education, said minister while announcing the programme.
Hundred government schools will come under this guideline in the first phase.
