Bhubaneswar, Mar 17 (Local Wire): The proposed website of the Odisha government for mandatory registration of persons coming to Odisha from foreign countries became active from Tueaday to ensure compliance.
Odisha Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy on Monday had announced that besides the existing helpline of 104, the state would also come up with a website dedicated to mandatory registration of foreign returns entering into the state within 24 hours.
The website is now offering the services in Odia and English language. Here the registration form has been asking simple questions like the name, address and contact numbers besides other travel related queries.
It is also asking in details about the passport or PNR numbers of the travel besides asking if the person has any symptoms like cough, fever or breathing issues.
The registration forms seek details of the countries visited and placed visited by the passengers. The Chief Secretary had Monday announced the website-www.covid19.odisha.gov.in will be available likely from Tuesday to ensure compliance of reporting arrivals from foreign countries. The official had said that it is now mandatory for the foreign entrants to register with the government otherwise they will be liable for legal action.
The Coronavirus website of the state government is also giving access to the notification, latest tweets of the CMO and others on COVID 2019 and other related information.
