Paradip, Dec 17 (LocalWire): A team from JSW Utkal Steel Limited today visited Dhinkia, Nuagaon and Gadakujang panchayats to seek cooperation from local people during the public hearing meeting. Interestingly, villagers in several places felicitated them and offered flower bouquets.
The deputy managing director Vinod Nowal visited the proposed site and interacted with the locals.
He met villagers from Dhinkia and Nuagaon and sought their cooperation for the proposed JSW steel project in Paradip.
Later, Nowal and other JSW officials visited Gadakujang jagannath Temple where the public hearing meeting will be held and later interacted with local villagers who expressed their solidarity for the proposed steel project.
Odisha State Pollution Control Board has fixed 20 December to conducting the environmental public hearing at Gadakujang Jagannath temple to obtain environmental clearance from the Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change for its proposed steel plant in Paradip.
