Bhubaneswar, Feb 16 (LocalWire) Several districts in Odisha on Saturday experienced sudden rainfall accompanied by strong winds.
The Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, in its latest weather bulletin, said Boudh received 18.8 mm rainfall, while Jharsuguda and Deogarh 18.2 mm each, Subarnapur 17 mm, Sundargarh 16.6 mm, Angul 13.2 mm, Sambalpur 12.9 mm, Keonjhar 12.3 mm, Mayurbhanj 11.5 mm, Bargarh 10.5 mm, Dhenkanal 8.2 mm, Balangir 7.5 mm, Nuapada 5.7 mm, Cuttack 2.7 mm, Nayagarh 2.5 mm, Kandhamal 2.2 mm, Jajpur 2.1 mm and Kalahandi 1.6 mm.
Bhubaneswar also woke up to short spells of sudden rains.
Normal life was hit due to this sudden weather change.
According to reports, school and office-goers had a tough time making it to their respective destinations on time amid rains that affected vehicular traffic.
The Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar had earlier issued rain alert till 8.30 am for Gajapati, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Khurda, Cuttack, Kandhamal and Kalahandi districts.
