Rourkela, September 11 (LocalWire): Sundargarh superintendent of police Saumya Mishra has shown the human side of a police officer when she tried to save the life of an accident victim while on her way to Rajgangpur.
According to reports, Mishra was on her way to Rajgangpur to overview the law and order situation during Muharram celebration yesterday when she found a man lying on the Biju Expressway near Kutra in a very serious condition.
She immediately pulled her official vehicle and started attending the accident victim.
The officer also asked all the accompanying policemen to create a temporary stretcher using their jackets, and the victim was soon shifted to Kutra public health center.
The authorities shifted him to Rajgangpur since his condition was deteriorating where he succumbed to the injuries. The deceased has been identified as Rajendra Kispatta.
The other two bikers, Pradeep Singh and Bhim, who were involved in the accident with the deceased, were also shifted to Kutra in very serious condition, from where they were moved to the Ispat General Hospital (IGH). Their condition is reported to be critical but stable.
This humanitarian act of Mishra has been appreciated by many.
Ironically, an FIR was filed in her name for her allegedly beating up a pregnant lady a few days back. The lady had complained that as she had a miscarriage due to the incident.
