Bhubaneswar, July 25 (LocalWire) The office of Chief District Veterinary Officer of Sundergarh district has invited applications for contractual engagement of retired veterinary experts in mobile veterinary units (MVU).
According to the notification, retired government employees up to 65 years of age, and with sound health, having experiences in the veterinary profession will have to apply for the post by July 30. No rules of reservation would be applicable for the selection of the senior veterinary officers.
In order to provide last-mile delivery of animal treatment services in remote and inaccessible villages of tribal areas and thus to improve farmers’ income, the Odisha Government has decided to introduce MVUs in 10 tribal-dominated districts of the state.
The provision for such arrangement was made in the national government-run Rastriya Krishi Vikash Yojna (RKVY) .
