Puri, Nov 6 (LocalWire): Even as the Supreme Court in an interim order asked the state government to constantly improve and update Puri Jagannath temple’s web portal information, the portal (http://www.jagannath.nic.in/) developed by the authorities of the 12th-century shrine, is lying without being updated.
The portal is lying practically idle with vital information for devotees and lakhs of followers of Jagannath cult not being updated.
It is full of outdated information and if one browses through the portal, one cannot find any updated information in majority of the links.
The annual report section is blank with no information available.
Similarly, the file named ‘Latest at Jagannath temple’ does not have any content to show.
In the ‘media gallery’ section, the photos have last been updated in 2016.
A notice with a heading ‘Illegal Online sale of Mahaprasad and invitation to Shree Jagannath for wedding’ December 2018 figures prominently.
Likewise the ‘Nabakalebara’ and ‘webcast live’ sections are also bereft of contents.
The ‘Rath Jatra update’, ‘Jagannath temple Gates’, Program and Guidelines, ‘About Shree Jagannath Temple Administration’, ‘Organogram’ sections of the web portal are blank without contents.
‘It has come to our notice. The concerned authorities are being directed to update the portal at the earliest,’ Puri Collector, Balwant Singh said.
