Bhubaneswar, December 29 (LocalWire) Cold wave continues to prevail invariably in all parts of Odisha with mercury plummeting to 3.4 degree Celsius on Sunday in Sonepur town, an official said.
It was followed by Angul, which recorded a minimum temperature of 4.6 degree Celsius.
The mercury stood at Phulbani- 5 degree, Daringibadi- 5.5 degree, Tiltilagarh- 6.1 degree, Bhawanipatna- 6.5 degree, Keonjhar- 6.6 degree, Jharsuguda- 7.3 degree, Sambalpur- 7.4 degree, Bolangir- 8 degree, Balasore- 8.6 degree, Cuttack- 8.8 degree, Baripada- 9 degree, Sundargarh- 9 degree, Koraput- 9.6 degree.
It dropped to 10.2 degree Celsius in the capital city of Bhubaneswar, while neighbouring Cuttack city recorded a minimum temperature of 8.8 degree Celsius.
The port town of Paradip in Jagatsinghpur district recorded the highest night the temperature of 12.8 degree Celsius, the meteorological centre said in a bulletin.
