Balasore, Dec 8 (LocalWire) At least three persons were killed and 10 others seriously injured when the tourist vehicle in which they were travelling in rammed into a stationary truck near Sergarh petrol outlet on National Highway at around 4.30 am today, police said.
Altogether 27 persons including women and children from Balisahi area of Puri were on their way to Devkund tourist spot in Mayurbhhanj district in a mini bus when mishap struck them.
The deceased have been identified as Trinath Dash, Bapi Mishra and Gangadhar Dash.
All the injured were shifted to the district headquarters hospital here and their condition is stated to be serious.
Meanwhile, some other injured passengers alleged that the driver had dozed off and lost control over the speeding vehicle which caused the mishap.
Police had immediately rushed to the spot and removed the mangled mini bus from the National Highway.
Further investigation in the mishap was continuing, the sources said.
