Bhubaneswar, May 28 (LocalWire): Titilagarh replaced Angul to report the highest maximum temperature in the state today standing at 45.2 degrees as opposed to yesterday’s maximum (Angul) of 43.7 degrees, the Met department said in a release.
Overall, 12 stations have reported maximum temperatures of above 40 degrees as opposed to 14 stations yesterday; Angul and Talcher having recorded temperatures below 40 today.
While Titilagarh stands at 45.2 degrees, Bolangir and Bhawanipatna are not far behind at 43.8 and 43 degrees respectively.
Malkangiri, Sonepur, Sambalpur and Boudh have reported temperatures between 42 and 42.5 degrees, the Meteorological centre at Bhubaneswar said in a release.
Jharsuguda and Hirakud recorded temperatures of 41.8 and 41.1 degrees while Phulbani, Sundergarh and Paralakhemundi reported temperatures of 40.8, 40.5 and 40 degrees respectively.
