Bhubaneswar, Feb 28 (LocalWire): In what could be termed as a relief to the foreign trip enthusiasts and honeymoon couples, the state government-owned Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC) has now come up with attractive packages to offer foreign trips at affordable rates.
The department has planned to offer such packages to ensure lesser chances of tourists getting duped by some errant private tour operators besides keeping in mind the pocket-friendly rates.
OTDC Chairperson Shreemayee Mishra announced the move on Thursday.
The international tour package announced by the tourism body will cover the nearby South-East Asian countries which are often the most sought after international destinations for Indians.
The countries which have been targeted under this include- Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Dubai.
The programme has been named as’Time to Go Global with OTDC’ and has been under its package covering the flight fare, expenditure on visa, travel insurance, accommodation in a three-star hotel, breakfast, dinner, entry fees at several tourist destinations and others.
The package has been crafted for four days and three nights.
OTDC has planned for trips to Thailand in a package price of Rs 24,990, for Malaysia, it is Rs 29,990, for Singapore, the package comes for Rs 39,990, for Indonesia and Bali the pocket pinch is Rs 34,990 and for Dubai the package comes for Rs 53,990.
“With this package, the people from the state as well as tourists from outside the state could also be benefited. The prices are affordable for the domestic tourists,” the OTDC Chairperson said.
The tourism body meanwhile is also trying to boost the amenities of the existing government hotels owned by them under the brand name of Panthanivas across the state to boost tourism in the state.
It is most likely that people from adjoining states can also take help from this government managed tours.
