Bhubaneswar, August 2 (LocalWire) : Two cyclonic circulations over the Bay of Bengal-one at north coastal Odisha and another at northern Andhra Pradesh. are likely to cause heavy rainfalls in many parts of Odisha, especially in southern districts, according to special bulletin issued by regional weather office Friday.
The met office has issued orange warning –indicating ‘be ready’–for five southern districts, namely Malkangiri, Koraput, Nawrangpur , Nuapada and Kalahandi for Friday as well as Saturday.
Malkangiri already reeling under flood-like situation due to incessant rains. Due to heavy rain forecast, the district administration has taken steps to evacuate people from low-lying areas and has declared holidays for schools for two days starting Friday.
According to the special bulletin, districts such as Rayagada, Kandhamal, Bolangir, Boudh, Ganjam, Puri, Nayagarh, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada and Bhadrak may receive heavy to very heavy rainfall.
In overall , there will be moderate rain-fall along with thunder-shower at most places over the state, the weather office said in an advisory to farmers.
