Balasore, Oct 5 (LocalWire): A two-day long training for the preparation of Balasore Sadar by-elections concluded on Sunday in Balasore district. The training programme was conducted by the district administration following the COVID-19 guidelines.
Constituency level officials were being trained by a team of 10 officials from the Chief Election Office.
The Deputy Chief Election Officer(DCEO) of Odisha Mr. P Ray, Additional Chief Election Officer Satrughna Kar and Joint CEO Raghuram Ayar the Additional Secretary of Mass Education Department, Government of Odisha along with state-level officers from other departments were giving training to the district level officers.
As many as 35 district-level officials have received the training for the upcoming by-elections in Balasore Sadar constituency which is scheduled for 3 November.
The training aimed to explain the management of the by-election, code and conduct, expenditure for by-election, management of booths like sensitive, more sensitive, hypersensitive, and venerable, law and order situation, use of EVM and VV-Pat along with observance of Covid-19 guidelines.
District Election Commissioner cum collector of the district K Sudarshan Chakraborty who attended the training programme said that the Presiding Officer and Polling Officers will get the training soon.
Additional District Magistrate Samit Kumar Nayak, PDDRDA Raindra Kumar Sahoo and Sub-Collector Ashishiswar Patil and other officers attended the programme.
