Jagatsinghpur, March 30 (LocalWire): Two people were killed on Saturday when their motorcycle collided with a truck at Siuli area on Cuttack-Paradip highway while they were on their way to work.
The victims were identified as Prasant Swain and Narayan Khuntia. Both hailed from Radhamadahpur village and worked as marble masons at a construction site near Siuli.
Swain and Khuntia were rushed to Raghunathpur hospital where the medics declared them brought dead.
After the accident, people blocked the highway in protest, demanding compensation to victims’ families.
Meanwhile, police have sent the bodies to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for postmortem.
