Berhampur, March 3 (LocalWire): East Coast Railways extended two medium-distance passenger trains.
The Visakhapatnam-Palasa Passenger was extended till Berhampur and the Cuttack-Brahmapur MEMU was extended to Ichhapuram in Andhra Pradesh.
The former will now be known as the Visakhapatnam-Berhampur Passenger and will stop at Sumadevi, Mandasa Road, Baruva, Sompeta, Jhadupudi, Ichhapuram, Surla Road and Golanthara between Palasa and Berhampur stations.
It will leave Berhampur at 7 am and reach Visakhapatnam at 2.40 pm, said Berhampur station master, DP Bramha. The timing and stops will remain unchanged between Visakhapatnam and Palasa.
The Cuttack-Ichhapuram-Cuttack MEMU will stop at Golanthara and Surla between Berhampur and Ichhapuram. The train will leave Berhampur at 9.15 pm and reach Ichhapuram at 10.00 pm.
While returning, the train will leave Ichhapuram at 6.45 am. The timings and stoppages for the train between Cuttack and Berhampur remain unchanged, sources said.
