Berhampur, April 16 (LocalWire): Two people were killed by miscreants in separate places in Ganjam district on Monday night, police said on Tuesday.
The fifty-year-old was allegedly lynched at Goudagotha village under Aska police station.
Police suspect he might be killed over a loan dispute with other villagers. ‘The body has been recovered and sent for post-mortem. No one was arrested. Investigation is on,’ said inspector in charge, Aska police station Pitabash Dharua.
In another incident, a 52-year old man was killed by his neighbours at Salabana under Kodala police station. The deceased was killed him by injuring his private parts.
Though there was a dispute among the neighbours, this sudden provocation was since the victim’s son had climbed on to his neighbour’s roof. The two families quarrelled at night and the victim died at the spot, police said.
‘We have detained two people and started investigation. Exact cause of the death will be known after autopsy,’ said inspector in charge, Kodala police station Dillip Kumar Sahu.
