Bhubaneswar, Dec 7 (LocalWire) Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR), Sambhalpur, director Ashwini Pujahari has reportedly been indicted for alleged unethical clinical practice by a four-member inquiry committee.
The inquiry committee submitted its report to the Odisha government on Thursday evening.
Refusing to divulge details, Odisha health secretary Pramod Meherda said: “We have got the report. We are examining it.”
Meanwhile, VIMSAR authorities have decided to implement ‘No Work, No Pay’ order on striking junior doctors.
VIMSAR principal and dean, Braja Mohan Mishra said the ‘no work, no pay’ order will be implemented immediately on agitating doctors who are on strike since Nov 16.
Patients at VIMSAR are suffering due to a strike called by Junior Doctors’ Association in Odisha’s Sambalpur district demanding removal of VIMSAR director and fulfilling a 10-point charter of demands.
According to sources, due to unavailability of adequate doctors and emergency services, number of patients at the hospital has also decreased of late.
