Bhubaneswar, Oct 1 (LocalWire): The office of the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) today released the state guidelines for Unlock 5.0 where it continued the existing ban on several activities.
According to the new norms of the Odisha government, religious places, cinema halls, swimming pools (not under government control), international travels, social, cultural congregation, schools and colleges would continue to be banned in the state in October.
This comes after the Central government allowed partial opening of cinema halls, swimming pools and even educational institutes but allowed the state to take their own decision.
The government however has allowed political functions in Balasore and Tirtol constituencies due to the upcoming by-elections but put a ceiling of 100 persons in such meetings.
“Political meetings and other functions in connection with the said by-elections shall be allowed within the jurisdiction of the said assembly constituencies subject to a ceiling of 100 persons,” the norms said.
But it asked for mandatory wearing of face masks, physical distancing, provision of thermal scanning and hand wash or sanitizer at the venue.
The government has meanwhile allowed hassle free movement of people inside and outside the state without any requirement of passes.
It has also allowed all central government, state government and private offices to open but asked them to adhere to the COVID rules.
