Bhubaneswar, June 11 (LocalWire): The validity of all vehicle related documents expiring between Feb 2020 and June 30 has been extended till September 30th by the Ministry of Road, Transport and Highway.
Documents whose validity has been extended include driving license, vehicle registration and fitness certificates as well as vehicle permits of all kinds.
The move comes in the wake of the COVID-19 situation, and the public has also been asked not to gather at the Regional Transport Office in view of the situation.
The state government extended the validity of learner’s license expiring between March 18- June 30 till September 30, while all DL/LL tests after March 18 have been suspended for the time being.
New dates for resumption of tests will be notified while fees already paid for the tests will remain valid, the official order said.
The government had earlier extended the validity of all vehicle documents till June 30.
