Berhampur, September 17 (LocalWire): The vigilance sleuths on Tuesday raided houses and the office of a junior clerk of MKCG Medical College and Hospital to probe charges of corruption and assets beyond the available means.
The raids were conducted simultaneously at five places, including the office of the junior clerk Ajit Kumar Sahu, Berhampur vigilance superintendent of police (SP) Mayadhara Swain informed.
According to the officer, the anti-corruption teams were conducting a simultaneous search at his duplex house in Siba Padma Colony, Ambapua, a three-storied building at Gajapati Nagar seventh line, and another three-storied building at Lanjipalli.
The police are also conducting raids at a cement godown at Lanjipalli and his office.
“Preliminary search has revealed that these houses belonged to his wife, father, and him,” the officer said.
“Details of his properties and whether they have been acquired through corrupt means would be known only after completion of the search,” the SP stated.
