Jagatsinghpur, Jan 27 (LocalWire) At least four villagers have sustained injuries in Jagatsinghpur district after being attacked by a wild boar on Monday, an official said.
The people sustained injuries have been identified as Manorama Swain from Nuagaon, Kailash Behera and Chabindra Behera from Noliashai, and Nagendra Majhi from Dalimbpur.
All of them belong to Nuagaon and Gada Kujang area under Abhyachandpur police station.
They have been shifted to the district hospital by an ambulance and their condition is stated to be stable.
A forest team has been sent to locate the wild boar, local forest range officer Pratap Chandra Mohanty told LocalWire.
The people of the area are panic-struck and have been spending sleepless nights as the number of wild boar attacks in the area on the rise.
These attacks are seen not just as a threat to human life, but also to the crops of the farmers living in the area.
