Balasore, April 24 (LocalWire): Throwing a challenge to the Prime Minister’s claims of forming a BJP- government in the state, Naveen Patnaik today said he would like to invite Narendra Modi as ‘guest’ during his swearing-in ceremony as chief minister for the fifth consecutive term.
Naveen Patnaik during a rally here said BJD has already secured majority in the state elections, thanks to the blessings of his people.
‘I humbly invite the PM to attend BJD government’s swearing-in ceremony as guest.’
Patnaik alleged, ‘The Prime Minister did not have time to visit Odisha during its misery. Now since an election is underway, he is frequenting the state.’
Speaking about the Centre’s share in the construction of Fakir Mohan Medical College and Hospital here, Patnaik said the state spent Rs 10,000 crore for the medical institution while the BJP-led Central government gave only Rs 100 crore.
He said that a Central minister from Odisha was opposing the medical college but the state government made it possible after taking permission from the Supreme Court-appointed central empowered committee.
Patnaik later appealed to the voters to cast their votes in favour of the BJD Lok Sabha candidate Rabindra Jena and MLA candidate Ananta Das on 29 April.
