Bhubaneswar, May 5 (LocalWire): The winners for today’s PECUC-LocalWire Quiz Contest have been declared.
10 people from across the state were selected from among the 56 who participated in the quiz of 4th May, and the prize money was transferred directly to their bank accounts.
Keonjhar scored the highest number of winners yesterday at 4: Pulin, Litu, Starry Pinku and Trupti Ranjan Sahoo.
There were three winners from Paralakhemundi, namely Subhasri Patnaik,Nishikanta Paik and Rajesh, while one apiece from Dhenkanal, Bhubaneswar and Cuttack namely Rashmi Swain, Ankita Satapathy and Janmejay Sahoo respectively.
The PECUC-LocalWire Quiz Contest is part of PECUC’s 44 days campaign to end child labour, and was flagged off on the 30th of April which is the National Anti-Child Labour Day.
The quiz will continue till the 12th of June which is the World Day Against Child Labour.
5 questions are asked on the quiz, and the participants get exactly 24 hours to answer all the questions correctly.
10 random winners are selected each day from among the participants, and all the 10 winners receive a designated cash prize which is transferred directly into their bank accounts.
Till now, 300 people have participated in the quiz, averaging around 50 participants a day. People from Kalahandi, Gajapati, Bolangir, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Berhampur, Bhadrak, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal and Paralakhemundi have won prizes until today.
Apart from the daily winner prize, there is a cash reward at the end of 44 days for the person with the greatest number of correct answers.
The quiz features questions related to Odisha, COVID-19, Child labour and issues, etc.
