Sambalpur, March 4 (LocalWire): If you ever found yourself making excuses for not accomplishing your goals in life, meet 50-year-old fruitseller, Laxmi Behera, who started her business from scratch and has not looked back since.
‘I lost my husband in a tragic accident after which my two daughters and I faced acute poverty but I vowed never to compromise on their education,’ she said.
Recalling her days of struggle, Laxmi says ‘when there was scarcity of water and food in our town, I had no money to feed my daughters but I knew I could overcome these harsh conditions.’
She began selling fruits and took education loan to educate her daughters, who were good at academics. One of them is now a chartered accountant.
Laxmi said she is happy that she could settle both her daughters earning money by selling fruits and would continue to do so till her health permits.
