Bhubaneswar, July 21 (LocalWire): Mathematicians and researchers from several countries have assembled at the SOA Deemed to be University here since Saturday in a two-day workshop to discuss nuances of ‘Numerical Analysis and Differential Equation with Applications’.
The conference aims to bring together eminent academicians, researchers, scientists and students from reputed institutions from across the world to provide a platform for sharing innovative findings, current trends, new challenges, new results and breakthroughs in the realm of numerical analysis and differential equations, organisers said.
Chief guest Prof Rajen Kumar Sinha of IIT, Guwahati, Prof. Sanjeewa Perreira from Colombo University and Prof.
Ali Hasan Mohammed Murid from University Teknologi Malaysia addressed the workshop organised by the Mathematics department of ITER and Centre for Applied Mathematics and Computing at the Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), SOA’s faculty of engineering and technology.
The delegates would be listening to 11 key-note speakers and five invited speakers while 52 research papers would be discussed.
Prof. Damodar Acharya, former Director of IIT, Kharagpur and presently Chairman of the SOA Advisory Board, Prof. P.K. Nanda, SOA’s Dean (Research and Development) and Prof. P.K.Sahu, Dean of ITER also addressed the inaugural session while Dr. Ambit Kumar Pany, convenor of the workshop proposed the vote of thanks.
