Bhubaneswar, July 15 (LocalWire): The Xavier School of Human Resource Management conducted its annual HR symposium focused at Innovations in HR, here.
The symposium was attended by students, industry veterans and faculty members.
Inaugurating the symposium, Fr EA Augustine stressed on the accelerated pace of change in the field of HR over the years due to the ease of diffusion of information through new communication channels.
He spoke about the two-fold metamorphosis in terms of technology, and social and legislative changes, and the idea of super jobs in the future.
The symposium took up several interesting topics for discussion, including the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) and SMAC – social, mobile, analytics and cloud – on HR practices.
The participants also deliberated on what organizations should do to redefine the social contract between employees and employers, and power harassment in terms of the responsibility of those in power to not indulge in slavery and exploitation of human resources.
